    <abstract language="eng">It was conducted the laboratory screening of local and foreing rice samples total amount of 29 genotypes to cold tolerance and cold sensivity. As a result of screening for the first time the most perspective genotypes (Lazurnyi, UzROS 7-13 and Kuban 3) were selected as donors to create the initial cold tolerance forms for rice breeding in Kazakhstan.</abstract>
